The FL868 Narrow Band-Pass Filter is designed to improve receive performance on the 868MHz ISM band (860-875MHz) used by applications such as the Helium network, LoRa, Sigfox, FLARM etc. It features Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) technology, RP-SMA connectors and a compact design compatible with most equipment.
This filter will only allow signals from the 868MHz band (860 to 875MHz) and stop noise or unwanted signals to overload your receiver. This is particularly effective in increasing performance in densely populated areas or when using an external, high gain antenna. As a lot of the equipment used on this band is only designed to be used with small indoors antennas, so strong signals coming from other sources (like powerful TV/radio broadcast, cell towers etc) can easily overload the receiver when using an upgraded antenna system (or if there is such a strong signal transmitter nearby).
The custom SAW filter used is specifically designed for this application and achieves better than 40dB of attenuation outside the band of interest with minimal degradation of signal level (RSSI) or signal/noise ratio (S/N). Quality RP-SMA connectors are convenient as they’re compatible with the most popular equipment and no additional adaptors are required (which will add small but unnecessary losses).
This product is developed and tested in the UK using latest generation calibrated RF lab equipment and is being manufactured in the EU at the highest standards.
